Good to know
- Airports. Lio Airport (ENI) is the local El Nido field. Puerto Princesa (PPS) is the larger Palawan hub with a longer road north.
- Direct air (soft). Domestic flights into Lio are commonly associated with AirSwift. Frequency and routes (Manila, sometimes Cebu or Boracay links) change; we verify current seats before locking a plan. Small-aircraft baggage limits often apply (legacy notes cite roughly 10 kg included; confirm live).
- PPS + land. Fly Manila to Puerto Princesa, then a private van north (often in the 4-6 hour range depending on stops and road conditions). For private trips we usually prefer a van.
- Island resorts. Many private-island stays add a boat transfer from the mainland pier or airport transfer point to the resort jetty.
- Best months. December to May is the more reliable window for Bacuit Bay boat days. Outside that window, trips still run with more weather buffer.
- Languages. English is widely used in tourism. You will also hear Tagalog, Cuyonon, and Ilonggo (Ilongo).
- Money. Philippine peso. Cards work at many resorts; town days still need some cash.
- Eco fee (soft). An environmental / conservation fee applies to visitors in the El Nido area. Amount and collection points are confirmed with your itinerary (we do not publish a peso figure here that may go stale).

Bacuit Bay lagoons (Tour A highlights)
The signature El Nido day for first-timers: enclosed lagoons and beach time around Miniloc waters. Classic stops guests ask for include Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, snorkeling near Shimizu Island, and beach time at Seven Commandos Beach. Exact stops on a private boat follow weather, park rules, and your pace.
Matinloc and Hidden Beach (Tour C territory)
Matinloc is a long, cliff-lined island with strong snorkeling interest and the much-photographed Hidden Beach, reached by swimming or snorkeling through a narrow rock opening when conditions allow. Local lore sometimes links the spot to beach-novel associations; we treat that as colour, not a hard literary claim. Nearby Tapiutan, Helicopter Island (Dilumacad), and Star Beach appear on Tour C-style days.
Nacpan and Calitang (Tour E / land)
Twin beaches north of town for a land-based day without a Bacuit boat. Often paired with Nagkalit-Kalit waterfall when fitness and time allow.
Cadlao and island beaches (Tour D)
Closer island beaches and Cadlao Lagoon, with stops such as Pasandigan (Pasadigan), Nat Nat, Bucal, and Paradise Beach. A softer hop day when you want more sand time and less lagoon corridor traffic. Helicopter Island and Secret Lagoon belong to other tour letters, not Tour D.
Caves, Snake Island, and coves (Tour B)
Cudugnon (Cadugnon) Cave and Point, Snake Island (Vigan sandbar), Pinagbuyutan, Pinasil / Cathedral Cave, and related coves. More cave and sandbar texture than the classic lagoon circuit.
El Nido town
Bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops along the town strip. Useful orientation if you sleep mainland; quieter if you base on a private island and visit town for a meal.
Bulalacao Waterfalls
Inland trek via Pasadena: tricycle or motorcycle to a trailhead, then a rainforest walk (often around an hour each way). Local guide recommended. Optional for fit guests with spare time.
Kayaking and diving
Kayaks suit fit guests who want to paddle lagoon corridors at their own rhythm. Diving runs from beginner intro sessions through advanced sites with certified operators. Both sit as optional add-ons inside packages.

How we work
How we run El Nido
We treat El Nido as a paced marine block: arrival buffer, one signature lagoon day, one optional second hop or Nacpan land day, then exit toward Coron, Manila, or another beach. Private boats typically include crew, lunch, life jackets, kayak, and mask/snorkel (bring your own mask if you prefer familiar gear).
Shared hop boats exist on the island; private packages keep your group together and let us retime when wind or park limits shift the morning. We do not name internal booking systems on this page.

Frequently asked questions
How many nights do I need in El Nido?
3-5 nights covers arrival, a Tour A day, and either a second hop or a Nacpan land day. Divers or multi-island routes may want longer.
What is the best time to visit El Nido?
December to May is generally more stable for Bacuit Bay boats. Outside that window we still run trips with more weather flexibility.
Should I fly into Lio or Puerto Princesa?
Lio (ENI) is closer and usually smoother when seats and baggage limits fit. PPS works when Lio is full or fares favour it; plan a private van north. We confirm the full chain with your flights.
Tour A vs Tour C: which should we do first?
Most first-timers start with Tour A (lagoons, including Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island, and Seven Commandos Beach). Tour C suits a second day when you want Matinloc / Hidden Beach style swimming and cliffs. We can swap order for weather.
Private boat or shared island hopping?
Both exist. Private boats keep your group together and usually include lunch, crew, kayak, and snorkel gear. Shared boats cost less per seat but follow a fixed crowd pace. Our packages default to private unless you ask otherwise.
Do you sell hotels alone?
No. The hotels on this page are examples inside private packages. Request a property as part of a sample itinerary. Availability follows live inventory (Miniloc is listed while temporary closed).
Is El Nido good for families?
Yes, with paced boat days, life jackets, and a base that matches ages (mainland Seda Lio or Funny Lion for easier logistics; island resorts such as Lagen, Pangulasian, Cauayan, or Miniloc (when open) when kids handle boat transfers). Adrenaline add-ons stay optional.
Can we combine El Nido with Coron or Boracay?
Yes. Coron is a natural northern Palawan pair. Boracay can follow as a beach finale when air links or Manila connections fit. We order islands around seats, not slogans.

Cudugnon (Cadugnon), Ille, and deep time
