The Environmental Fee in El Nido: The fee collection began in 2008 as an attempt to fund the conservation and protection of the environment. The fund also supports projects aimed at environmental preservation to reduce the impact of tourism on the environment. A fee of 200 Philippine Pesos applies to all tourists arriving on the island.
